April 1st, 2013 – LPI Turns 28 / Borgess Run for Health of it!

LPI started on April 1, 1985.  No Fooling.  Today we turn 28 years old.  We have seen a lot of formats come and go.  The one thing that remains is the passion and dedication to telling a good story.  Check out this anniversary clip. Speaking of great stories, the Borgess Run for the Health It has been a institution in the Kalamazoo for as long as we have. We were happy to help produce their latest radio spot.  Listen to the spot here.

January 29, 2013 – 28 years old and still green!

During our move last month, we wanted to get rid of stuff. Old machines, tapes, monitors…. We didn’t want to dump it all into a landfill – we wanted to recycle.  So we hooked up with Comprenew in Grand Rapids and gave them 5800 POUNDS of stuff.  It is easy to be green!

November 26, 2012 – Lawrence Productions is moving. As of January 1, 2013, our new address will be:

6146 West Main Street, Suite A, Kalamazoo, MI 49009 – 269-903-2395.

“We are very excited about the new space,” says President Jerry Brown. “The parking is plentiful, free and we’re easy to find.” The move helps consolidate all of LPI’s equipment and resources into one location. The location is just off US-131 and one mile north of I-94. The 5,000 square foot space has plenty of room for growth. “We are gearing up to supply our clients with top-notch services well into the future.” And the open house won’t be bad either. Stay tuned.

February 1st 2011 - Lawrence Productions is pleased to announce a significant upgrade with the addition of an AVID DS 10.5 editing system to our High Definition Post Production facilities.  This is simply the fastest, most sophisticated editing system available today. It offers superb layering, graphics, animation, color correction and finishing without the need for additional third party software. The AVID DS 10.5 handles all the latest HD formats with ease.  Also, because our editors have been editing on AVID DS for ten years, the leap to the new system has been very intuitive and allows us to bring back any client projects from the past quickly and seamlessly.  It’s always exciting to have new tools.  This one screams.
